This website shows the wide range of valuable services provided and enabled by Motueka Community House for the community. Many of the tangible services are delivered by volunteers and we are thrilled with their regular contributions. But all this relies on a small, well-trained management team and office, as well as upkeep of the building itself as a special welcoming space.

While local businesses and partner organisations help out with paying for our larger events and provisions, funding to employ staff and maintain the building is a constant focus of the Trust. Without it our services simply could not be effectively provided.  Only a few of the Aotearoa’s larger funding agencies give grants to help cover operational costs, and applying for these each year takes considerable management time with outcomes not guaranteed.

Around two-thirds of our costs are for operational overheads – staff salaries, office needs and building maintenance, insurance, lease payments etc. And it’s here that we need special help.
